Inspired by the oldest of the Trio!

 

Before we all needed subtitles to hear what we were watching, my sisters and I used them because Shaina (who speaks ASL) is deaf in one ear. Great for when you need to sleep, not so great for watching movies. For as long as putting subtitles on after popping in a DVD has been a thing, we have noticed "interesting" descriptions for sounds and environment. Yes, every subtitle in this collection was actually seen by one of us, either in movies, TV shows or more recently, social media captions. The Shai Shai Collection is a mildly weird love letter to the oldest sibling and our memories of weekend movie binges after road trips to visit and the laughs we shared. Simple designs meant to imitate the captions you see on screen that set the tone for your day, your mood, and your group.

Meet the Muse: Shaina

You know those people who light up a room with just their laugh? That’s my sister Shaina—founder, designer, and the creative spark behind Dawn & Delight. She’s the genius I call when I need a colour palette that makes people feel something or a logo that actually says something.

Shaina’s spent the last 7+ years helping wellness pros, coaches, and therapists build brands that feel like home. Beautiful, aligned, and full of intention. She's launched over 100 brands and websites (yes, really), and every single one feels like it was made with heart… because it was.

A little fun fact: Shaina was born deaf in her left ear and is a fluent ASL interpreter (coolest party trick ever, hands down). That ability to communicate without words? Yeah, it shows up in her design too. She just gets people and helps their brands speak volumes.
